Lidl plans Dromore store as public consultation event set for September 24
A public consultation event has been scheduled to discuss a proposed Lidl retail development in Dromore, County Down.
Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council received a Proposal of Application Notice on August 19, submitted by Coalisland-based Clarman Architects. The plans outline a new Lidl store and all ancillary development.
The development site encompasses lands at and to the rear of 11, 13 and 15 Lower Mount Street, adjacent to 5a Moss Lane, immediately adjacent and to the rear of 17, 18 and 19 Market Square, and areas to the east and southeast of Princess Street addresses.
Existing buildings on the site would be demolished and trees removed to make way for the store. The proposals include car-parking facilities, engineering works, landscaping, and associated site and access works.
The in-person consultation event will take place at Dromore Town Hall on Thursday, September 24, from 3pm to 7pm. Members of the design team will be present to answer questions.
A consultation website will launch on the same day. In advance of the event, leaflets will be delivered to properties within 100 metres of the site, explaining the pre-application community consultation process and providing contact details for the technical team to submit feedback.
