Bangor face Dungannon Swifts in pursuit of first points
Bangor FC travel to Stangmore Park on Saturday to face Dungannon Swifts in the NIFL Premiership, with both teams looking to build on differing fortunes from the opening weekends.
Dungannon Swifts earned three points last weekend with a win over Portadown at Shamrock Park. Kris Lowe scored in the first half. That result followed an opening-day home defeat to Coleraine.
Bangor opened their campaign with a home loss to Cliftonville last Saturday. Cliftonville scored twice in the first half and added one more after the interval. Goalkeeper Gareth Deane made a string of saves to keep the second-half scoring to a single goal.
Bangor manager Lee Feeney said his side had good opportunities early on but did not take them. He admitted the team conceded from two crosses and were poor in the second half, with the game slipping away from them in the final 25 minutes.
Bangor are still seeking their first points of the season. Their most recent league victory came in March at Stangmore Park, the venue for this weekend's match.
