A-Level students at Portadown College achieved one-third of all grades at A-A* this year, the school has confirmed.

Principal Gillian Gibb said the outcomes demonstrated the commitment and academic standards of the Year 14 leavers. She thanked teachers, families and support staff for their contributions to the results.

Two students, Joshua Henderson and Sophie Millar, each attained four A grades. Three students secured three A grades: Charlie Beattie, Lee McClelland and Sarah Spence.

A further five students earned two A* grades within their A-Level profiles: Bethany Best, Leah Galbraith, Noah Jones, Keeley Telford and Kiyan Telford.

Twenty students achieved at least three A/A grades, with another three gaining three straight A grades. An additional eight students received AAB in their results.

At AS Level, twelve students recorded four A grades. They are India Adams, Kathryn Gault, Chloe Jackson, Danielle Kelly, Evie Mahood, Cassie McKee, Ewan McNally, Benjamin Moles, Isaac Moore, Charlie Poole, Emily Quinn and Charlie Rodgers.

A further seventeen AS students achieved three A grades.

Gibb said the AS results provided a strong foundation for the next stage of study and that the college would continue to support students as they progress to university, further education, apprenticeships or employment.
