Students at Southern Regional College are among thousands across Northern Ireland who received A-level results today. The college recorded an overall pass rate of 96.6%.

Three subjects achieved a 100% pass rate: biology, English literature and religious studies.

The college's A-Level Academy is based at its Armagh campus and offers 13 AS and A2 subjects. Options include mathematics, biology, chemistry, government and politics, nutrition and food science, sociology and psychology.

Stephen Rogan, head of faculty for computing, design and academic studies, said the results reflected hard work by students and support from teaching staff. He noted that students had developed confidence and independence during their studies. Rogan said he wished them success whether they were moving to university, apprenticeships or employment.

The college accepts students studying A-levels for the first time and those seeking to complete one or more AS or A-level subjects. Applications can be made through its website or admissions team.
