Two arrested after suspected arson attack in Coalisland
Two people have been arrested after a suspected arson attack at a property in Coalisland, County Tyrone.
Police were called to the Platers Hill area shortly before midnight on Thursday 13 August. Officers arrived at around 11.50pm and discovered a small fire outside a residential property.
The blaze was extinguished and the property sustained minor damage. No injuries were reported.
On Friday evening, a man aged in his 30s and a woman aged in her 20s were arrested on suspicion of arson with intent to endanger life. Both remain in police custody and are assisting with enquiries.
Detectives are continuing to appeal for witnesses and urge anyone who was in the area at the time and saw suspicious activity to come forward. Investigators are also seeking CCTV, doorbell camera and dash-cam footage that could assist the inquiry.
