Gunfire damaged a house and a car in Lisburn in the early hours of Tuesday morning, but no one was hurt.

The incident occurred in the Breton Court area, with shots reported to police shortly before 1.30am.

Shots struck the front door and an upstairs window of the property. A vehicle parked at the house was also damaged.

Detective Inspector Lewis said police are trying to determine why the attack took place. He confirmed that those inside the house at the time were uninjured.

Officers are asking anyone with information, or relevant dashcam, CCTV, or doorbell footage, to come forward. They can contact Lisburn police on 101, quoting reference number 64 11/08/26.
