The Utility Regulator has published findings from its sixth Domestic Consumer Insight Tracker survey.

The annual research, conducted between September and November 2025, questioned a representative sample of 1,500 domestic consumers in Northern Ireland.

The survey focuses on household electricity and gas markets, covering themes such as heating types, payment methods, interactions with energy suppliers, complaint handling, switching behaviour, and payment difficulties.

It also examines awareness of consumer protections and support services available to households.

The regulator uses the data to measure and track consumer experiences over time and to inform its consumer protection work.

Further details, including a full report, highlight report, and infographic, are available from the Utility Regulator.
