Police in Coalisland, County Tyrone, attended reports of a man causing a disturbance in the Barrack Street area on Sunday afternoon.

A man was arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place. He is currently in custody assisting officers with their enquiries.

A woman was cautioned on suspicion of dangerous driving, aiding and abetting the possession of an offensive weapon, and aiding and abetting assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

The PSNI thanked the local community for their assistance during the incident. Enquiries remain ongoing.
