More than 40 bands will take part in this year's Twelfth of July demonstration in Cookstown, alongside six junior lodges and brethren from seven Orange districts.

The districts of Killyman, Stewartstown, Castlecaulfield, Pomeroy, Coagh, Benburb and Cookstown will parade through the town. The procession will form up at the Assembly Field on Grange Road at noon.

Tamlaghtmore Ark of Safety LOL 469, accompanied by the Tamlaghtmore Silver Band, will lead the march. The parade will then move along Grange Road, Tullywigan Road, Dungannon Road, Killymoon Street, Church Street, Chapel Street, Loy Street, James Street, William Street, Oldtown Street, Milburn Street and Moneymore Road, arriving at the Demonstration Field on East Circular Road at 2pm.

Platform proceedings are due to begin at 2.30pm. District Chaplain Worship Bro Rev David Murphy will lead the event, and the guest speaker will be Worship Bro Trevor Lockhart, Deputy County Grand Master for Tyrone.

The return parade will set off at 3.20pm, following East Circular Road, Moneymore Road, Milburn Street, Oldtown Street, Coagh Street, Union Street and Molesworth Street.

Two new banners will be dedicated on the day. Magheraglass No Surrender LOL 270 will parade with its new banner for the first time. Cookstown District LOL No 3 will unfurl and dedicate a new district bannerette, with Past District Master Samuel A. Glasgow performing the ceremony.
