Twelfth parades draw large crowds in Ballymena and Newtownhamilton
Thousands of Orange Order members and supporters gathered for Twelfth of July parades in County Antrim and County Armagh on Saturday.
In Ballymena, 30 local lodges and 17 bands paraded through the town. Lambeg drums accompanied the procession as crowds lined the streets.
Newtownhamilton hosted the County Armagh demonstration. A total of 11 District lodges took part, representing 150 private lodges and more than 5,000 brethren. Lodges from the Association of Loyal Orangewomen of Ireland also marched, along with Junior boys and girls lodges.
Approximately 70 bands provided music during the Newtownhamilton parade, featuring pipe, accordion, silver and flute sections. Lambeg drums were also present.
