House Severely Damaged in Armagh Arson Attack
A house in Armagh has been badly damaged in a deliberate fire on Sunday night.
Police were called to the Greenfield Close area shortly before 11:45pm on 5 July after reports that a house was on fire. When officers arrived, they found two windows of the property had been broken and flames were burning inside.
Fire crews from the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service extinguished the blaze. The house sustained substantial damage, but no one was inside at the time and there were no injuries.
Detective Sergeant Johnston confirmed that investigations are continuing to establish the circumstances of the fire. Police are treating it as arson and have appealed for anyone with information to come forward.
