A fire at Ballinamallard United's Ferney Park clubhouse has prompted a series of fundraising events to support repair efforts. The blaze, attributed to an electrical fault, destroyed the kitchen and storage areas and spread into the main clubrooms.

Club chairman Tom Elliott said it was fortunate no one was injured, given how rapidly the fire developed after the fault was discovered. The club has been overwhelmed by support from the local football community as recovery work begins.

On Saturday, July 18, Ballinamallard United will play Crusaders at Seaview, with kick-off at 2pm. A social event follows in the Seaview Social Club from 6pm, featuring Liam Beckett and guests. A supporters' bus will depart Ballinamallard at 11am that morning.

Further fundraising is planned with a 5km run or walk on Friday, July 31. Entry costs £10 and includes professional chip timing, with refreshments available afterwards. Proceeds will go towards local charities, community causes, and the club's repair fund.
