The Arts Council/An Chomhairle Ealaíon is accepting applications for its Irish-language Theatre Award, with Strands 1 and 2 backed by the Arts Council of Northern Ireland.

The deadline for submissions is 5.30pm on Thursday 30 July 2026.

The programme supports the development, generation and creation of high-quality Irish-language theatre, as well as its presentation to audiences.

It is open to professional artists and organisations with a proven track record in theatre practice.

There are three strands: Play Development (Strand 1), Theatre Creation (Strand 2), and Production and Touring (Strand 3). Applicants may only apply to one.
