Frankie Peeples, 55, from Bellaghy, County Londonderry, died in a two-vehicle collision on Chapel Road, Cushendall, on Sunday. He was taking part in a charity motorcycle run at the time.

The Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) said the crash was reported to officers shortly before 1pm.

Police are appealing for anyone with information or dashcam footage of the incident to come forward.

Mr Peeples was the husband of Gráinne and father of Shauna, Jamie, Kodi and Cayden, and stepfather to Caitlin. He is also survived by his siblings Barney, Debbie, Jonathan, Jason, Fiona, Sharon and Kylie.

Funeral arrangements include a service of thanksgiving at his home on Thursday at 11am, followed by interment at Polepatrick Cemetery in Magherafelt at approximately noon. The family home will be open to visitors on Tuesday and Wednesday from noon, with a shuttle bus service from Wolfe Tones Gaelic Club. They have requested family flowers only, with donations if desired to Air Ambulance NI.

On social media, Mr Peeples’s sister Kylie Moore posted a tribute, saying he died doing what he loved. Other friends and neighbours shared messages of condolence.
