The Galeón Andalucía, a full-scale replica of a 17th-century Spanish galleon, was moored at Warrenpoint Town Dock from 17 to 21 June.

The 55-metre vessel, built from iroko and pine wood, features six decks and carries nearly 1,000 square metres of sail across seven sails. It was constructed by the Fundación Nao Victoria in Punta Umbría, Andalusia, with strict attention to historical detail.

The ship serves as a floating ambassador for Andalusia, highlighting the region's maritime heritage. It has sailed hundreds of thousands of nautical miles, calling at ports on four continents, including London, Liverpool, Shanghai, Singapore, Hong Kong, Manila, New York, and Quebec.

The visit to Warrenpoint is part of the galleon's 2026 European tour, which includes stops in France, England, Ireland, and Northern Europe.
