Health workers from Altnagelvin Hospital's respiratory ward completed a fundraising climb up Mount Errigal on Saturday in memory of their colleague, nurse Amy Doherty.

Staff from Ward 26 took on the ascent of the Derryveagh Mountains' highest peak despite poor weather, raising money for Foyle Women's Aid.

The Western Trust described the effort as a fantastic achievement for a truly meaningful cause, praising the team for its challenging climb to the summit in honour of Ms Doherty.

The event collected funds for the Derry-based charity, which supports women and children affected by domestic abuse.
