A free family event with a pre-loved sale and repair café will take place at Meadowbank Sports Arena in Magherafelt on Saturday 27 June from 11am to 2pm.

Mid Ulster District Council organises the Family Fayre and Pre-Loved Sale, with support from the Northern Health and Social Care Trust and the Northern Ireland Resources Network.

Visitors can browse stalls selling pre-loved children's clothes, toys, books, baby equipment and other family items. Tables for sellers cost £10.

The event also includes bouncy castles, face painting, arts and crafts, and other family entertainment.

A repair café staffed by volunteers from the Northern Ireland Resources Network will be available for attendees to bring broken household items for free repair. The initiative aims to encourage reuse and reduce waste.

Information stands and demonstrations will offer advice on lowering household costs, healthy eating, and getting active.

Councillor Deirdre Varsani, chair of Mid Ulster District Council, said the event has become a popular part of the community calendar. She said it gives families a chance to spend time together while learning practical ways to save money and make more sustainable choices.

Admission is free. Those interested in selling at the pre-loved sale can book a table by emailing sustainability@midulstercouncil.org or calling 03000 132 132.
