Ruth Taggart died at her home in Portrush on 28 May.

Taggart previously served as chairperson and committee member of the Northern Ireland Disability Pool organisation.

The association issued a statement noting her time, care and commitment to the sport and its participants.

Taggart's sister Valerie is a Northern Ireland, national and European champion in the sport.

Her funeral was held on 1 June. Donations in lieu of flowers were requested for the Northern Ireland Special Pool Association.
