Police Treat Mural in Newtownabbey as Hate Incident
Police received a report at 12.35pm on Saturday 30 May regarding a mural unveiled on a property in the Tulleevin Walk area of Newtownabbey.
Officers attended the location and examined the mural. The incident is being investigated as a hate incident with possible criminal damage offences.
Enquiries remain ongoing. Police said they will engage with community representatives and partner agencies.

Alliance North Belfast MLA Nuala McAllister condemned the mural. She described it as a display of hatred and intolerance intended to stoke division.
McAllister said the mural does not represent the views of the majority of local residents and that everyone deserves to feel safe and respected in their communities.
