Detectives have arrested a second man in connection with a stabbing that occurred on 27 May in the Rodgers Quay area of Carrickfergus.

A 37-year-old man was detained on 1 June on suspicion of attempted murder, possessing an offensive weapon in a public place and possessing an article with a blade or point in a public place. He remains in police custody.

A 41-year-old man arrested on 30 May on suspicion of attempted murder and possession of an offensive weapon has been released on bail.
