A 39-year-old man has been charged following a series of burglaries in the Golf Links Crescent area of Newcastle.

The charges include burglary, criminal damage, handling stolen goods and going equipped for burglary.

Detectives from the Police Service of Northern Ireland brought the charges after the incidents on Saturday 30 May.

The man is scheduled to appear at Downpatrick Magistrates' Court on Monday 1 June.

All charges remain subject to review by the Public Prosecution Service.
