The Met Office has forecast spells of rain across parts of Northern Ireland on Friday.

Maps show rain expected in the morning before moving north, with patchy rain possible in some areas.

Temperatures are expected to fall from recent highs, reaching a maximum of 24C.

Chief Forecaster Chris Bulmer stated that a weak cold front will bring fresher conditions from Friday onward.

The forecaster said the hot spell is breaking down, with temperatures moving closer to seasonal averages.

Showers and more changeable weather are expected through the weekend and into next week.
