Police are investigating a stabbing that occurred in the Dunclug Park area of Ballymena in the early hours of Thursday morning.

Emergency services responded to the incident shortly before 7.45am on 28 May after reports of an attack.

A man received treatment at the scene before being taken to hospital. His injuries are not considered life-threatening.

Northern Ireland Air Ambulance was also called to the location.

Officers carried out enquiries at the scene throughout the day as they sought to establish what happened.

No information has been released about the victim or any suspects. Police said investigations are continuing.
