A Lurgan woman has been sentenced to six months in prison after being convicted of multiple animal welfare offences.

Lisa Glendinning of Marlborough Park appeared at Craigavon Magistrates Court on 20 May 2026.

She faced ten charges, including breach of a disqualification order made in June 2022 and failure to meet the needs of a tabby cat.

The case followed reports received by Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council about a dog and several cats at the property.

Council officers found evidence of animal presence including food bowls, a dog kennel, and empty packaging.

The court activated a previously suspended three-month sentence and added a further three months, resulting in a total of six months custody.

Glendinning was also disqualified from keeping animals for 20 years and released on £300 bail pending an appeal.
