A person was rescued from the River Lagan in Belfast on the morning of May 28.

The Community Rescue Service was called after reports that someone in distress had entered the river.

PSNI, Belfast Harbour Police, Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service and Northern Ireland Ambulance Service also attended the scene.

The person was removed from the water, brought to safety and transferred to the care of the ambulance service.
