Man arrested after drugs seizure in Cookstown
Police arrested a 23-year-old man on Sweep Road in Cookstown on Tuesday 26 May.
Officers from the Mid Ulster District Support Team stopped a vehicle. The man, who was a passenger, ran from the scene.
Officers pursued him on foot and detained him nearby.
Suspected ketamine and cocaine with an estimated value of £8,000 were recovered along with a sum of cash.
The man was released on conditional bail pending further examination of the seized items.
Chief Inspector Ryan McConville stated that disrupting drug supply remains a priority for Mid Ulster police. He said illegal drug supply funds organised crime and increases exploitation in communities.
Police urged the public to report suspected drug dealing by calling 101 or contacting Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
