Man denies fraud charges over driving instructor claims
A Dungannon court has set a contest date for a fraud case involving allegations that a man posed as a qualified driving instructor.
Ameen Alaneen, 56, appeared at Dungannon Magistrates' Court on charges of committing fraud twice between April 1 and October 17 2024.
Prosecutors allege he intended to make a gain for himself or cause loss to two people.
The charges also state that Alaneen caused a third person to drive without insurance on June 12 2024.
A defence barrister entered not guilty pleas on his behalf.
The barrister stated that Alaneen was providing Arabic interpreter services for friends.
District Judge Francis Rafferty listed the case for hearing on May 20.
