Dungannon Library has remained closed following flooding caused by problems in the underground drainage network.

A temporary facility has opened at Ranfurly House to provide study space and book borrowing for local users.

The arrangement runs from Monday to Saturday between 9:30am and 5pm, with extended hours until 7:30pm on Thursdays.

The space offers Wi-Fi access and a selection of books for browsing and borrowing.

Libraries NI and Mid Ulster District Council established the temporary service to support students during exam periods.

Dungannon Library users can continue to access online services including eBooks, eAudiobooks, eMagazines and eNewspapers.

Loan periods have been extended during the closure period.

The organisations said the partnership will also allow in-person classes such as Rhythm and Rhyme to continue in the area.
