Libraries NI Schedules Free Events in Antrim and Newtownabbey for Intergenerational Week and Autism Awareness
Libraries NI has organised free events in libraries across Antrim and Newtownabbey this April for Intergenerational Week and Autism Awareness Week. All events require booking due to limited spaces.
For Intergenerational Week, Greystone Library hosts a Mapping Monument Display from 13 to 24 April during opening hours. The display covers landscape legacies of the Ordnance Survey near Lough Foyle and Binevenagh.
Glengormley Library runs a Sporting Memories Café on Tuesday 21 April from 1:30pm to 2:30pm. Greystone Library holds an Intergenerational Coffee and Poem Morning on Thursday 23 April from 10:30am to noon.
Ballyclare Library offers Intergenerational Board Games on Monday 27 April from 2:00pm to 4:00pm.
Autism awareness events include Antrim Library's Happy Hands Duplo Session for ages 2-10 on Friday 3 April from 10:00am to 11:00am. Cloughfern Library has Sensory Storytime on Thursday 9 April from 2:30pm to 3:00pm.
Glengormley Library schedules Easter Sensory Storytime on Thursday 9 April from 11:30am to 12:30pm and an Easter Scavenger Hunt on Friday 10 April from 10:00am to noon. Randalstown Library features Hippity Hop, Beats and Bop on Saturday 11 April from 11:00am to noon.
Rathcoole Library hosts a Sensory Stay and Play Day on Thursday 16 April from 10:30am to 4:30pm with sessions for ages 0-4, 4-8, 8-13 and all ages. Ballyclare Library runs Sensory Storytime Stay and Play on Tuesday 21 April from 6:45pm to 7:30pm. Crumlin Library offers Sensory Storytime on Tuesday 21 April from 2:30pm to 3:00pm.
