A free cycling event that includes poetry readings will be held in Derry on National Poetry Day 2026.

The event will start at Life Cycles Outdoors at Ebrington Square. Bikes will be provided for participants. The route will be slow-paced and mostly off-road.

Poems will be read at stops along the route. The theme is Home, Cycling and the City.

Participants may also read their own poems or favourite poems about the city, memory, belonging and home.

The event is hosted by poet Cat Brogan. It is presented in partnership with Poetry Ireland and Life Cycles.
