A man in his 20s has been released on bail following a two-vehicle collision on Bridge Road in Dunloy.

The incident occurred around 7.10pm on Saturday 16 May and involved a grey Audi A3 and a silver Skoda Octavia.

A woman was taken to hospital with serious injuries and remains in a serious condition.

Police arrested the man at the scene on suspicion of driving offences but released him on bail to allow further enquiries.

The Bridge Road was closed for several hours after the crash while officers investigated.

Investigators are continuing to examine the circumstances and are appealing for information.
