ARDS: A 21-year-old Dundonald man who drove more than twice over the alcohol limit on Boxing Day, crashed into a fence and then left the scene by accepting a lift from a passing stranger, was banned from driving for one year and fined £275. Charges of failing to remain at the scene and resisting a police officer were withdrawn in exchange for a caution.

BELFAST: A Belfast man has been remanded in custody in connection with an alleged domestic abuse charge.

COLERAINE: A 31-year-old Coleraine man charged with causing grievous bodily harm and possession of multiple controlled substances following an incident at a flat in Westbourne Crescent on 6 May has been released on £500 bail. Conditions include exclusion from Coleraine, an electronically tagged curfew from 10pm to 7am, and prohibitions on contacting the injured party or witnesses or consuming alcohol or substances. The case was adjourned to 15 June.

COLERAINE: A 20-year-old man charged with disorderly behaviour in the Ballysally area on 1 May has been further remanded in custody, with his case adjourned to 15 June. A defence barrister told the court that footage exists of the defendant receiving a significant beating from several people, and a medical examination was requested.

CO ANTRIM: A suspended sentence has been imposed following an appeal in an animal cruelty case.
