A veterans information roadshow took place at the Killyhevlin Hotel in Enniskillen. Veterans and their families met organisations that assist former service personnel across Northern Ireland.

The Northern Ireland Veterans Commissioner’s Office organised the event with Fermanagh and Omagh District Council councillor Errol Thompson. Attendees consulted representatives on welfare, health, wellbeing services and support networks.

Support groups present included Help for Heroes, Walking With The Wounded, the Royal British Legion, Brooke House and Armed Forces and Veterans Breakfast Clubs.

Northern Ireland Veterans Commissioner David Johnstone attended and spoke with veterans about their experiences and concerns. Viscount Brookeborough served as guest speaker.

Councillor Errol Thompson acted as Veterans Champion. The event offered a complimentary lunch.

The Commissioner’s Office has held more than 20 such roadshows in recent years to connect veterans with local and national services.
