Vin McCullagh performed his production 'Why Am I' at the Greater Shantallow Community Arts Studio in Derry. The play recounts one man's experience living with and overcoming severe mental illness. The event took place during Mental Health Awareness Week.

Pupils from St. Cecilia's College and St. Joseph's Boys' School attended before McCullagh went on stage. Olly Green of Greater Shantallow Community Arts participated.

A section of the audience watched the production.

In a separate event, pupils from Eglinton Primary School visited Acorn Farm in St. Columb’s Park. They planted pumpkin seedlings ahead of Halloween.

Johnny Mitchell, the farm horticulturalist, joined the visit. Mia McKinney, a classroom assistant, and Conor McGinty, the teacher, were present. Allan Bogel, Sustainable Food Coordinator for Derry City & Strabane District Council, took part.

The pupils completed a plant quiz and learned to make herbal tea.
