BALLYMENA: A 57-year-old Randalstown man, Mark McVeigh, appeared in Antrim Magistrates Court on a single charge of attempted sexual communication with a child, relating to alleged sexualised messaging with a decoy posing as a person under 16 between January 6 and 31 this year. He was freed on continuing bail and the case was adjourned to 5 May.

ENNISKILLEN: A Belfast man, Scott Joseph Tootill, and co-accused Lauren O'Connor (28) from Lisnaskea were returned for trial on charges relating to controlling prostitution for financial gain, with alleged offences dating to October-December 2021. Tootill was remanded in custody and O'Connor on £500 bail to appear for arraignment at Dungannon Crown Court on 12 May.
