Funeral Held for Shea McGreevy After Lough Neagh Jet Ski Death
Shea McGreevy, aged 27, died in a jet ski accident on Lough Neagh last Wednesday night. His funeral took place at John Gray & Co Funeral Home in Bangor. He was laid to rest at Clandeboye Cemetery after the service.
McGreevy was the son of Michael and Sonya McGreevy and brother to Chloe. He was father to Harlow and uncle to Ella. His partner Stacey Watson expressed her love for him in a Facebook post.
A car meet on Stewartstown Road earlier this week honoured McGreevy. It turned violent in the Dairy Farm area. Youths in balaclavas threw masonry at police officers. Two PSNI officers sustained injuries. Five vehicles suffered damage.
Sinn Féin MLA Danny Baker condemned the organisers of the car meet. Baker also criticised the PSNI response to reports of the event.
In 2021, McGreevy received a two-year suspended sentence for three years after conviction for supplying cocaine to schoolchildren in North Down. Police raided his Ashby Gardens home the prior year and found cocaine and cannabis worth over £7,000.
McGreevy faced domestic abuse charges in September last year, including non-fatal strangulation, threats to kill, common assault and criminal damage. The charges were dropped after the complainant withdrew her statement.
McGreevy had links to The Firm gang. He offered £20,000 online for information on John George, murdered in Alicante in 2024.
