Jake Haughian, 18, from Levin Road in Lurgan, appeared at Craigavon Magistrates Court on Friday. He faces charges related to incidents on March 21 in Lurgan.

Prosecutors charged him with possessing a machete in a public place on North Street. He also faces charges of attempting to rob a person of money, attempting to hijack a car and possessing cannabis, a Class B drug.

A prosecutor noted that police requested a full file from the PSNI, due May 4. The court granted a four-week adjournment.

His solicitor requested bail condition changes to allow residence at Kilmaine Park in Lurgan with a 10pm curfew.

The court approved electronic tagging. He faces a ban from licensed premises unless supervised by his mother. He also faces prohibitions on consuming or possessing alcohol.

The case resumes on May 8.
