Jake Haughian, 18, from Levin Road in Lurgan, appeared at Craigavon Magistrates Court on Friday. He faces charges from March 21 in Lurgan.

Prosecutors charged him with possessing a machete in a public place on North Street. Additional charges include attempting to rob a person of money, attempting to hijack a car and possessing cannabis, a Class B drug.

A prosecutor stated that police requested a full file from the PSNI, due May 4. The court granted a four-week adjournment.

His solicitor requested changes to bail conditions to allow residence at Kilmaine Park in Lurgan with a 10pm curfew.

The court approved tagging and a ban from licensed premises unless supervised by his mother. He also faces prohibitions on consuming or possessing alcohol.

The case resumes on May 8.
