Comber Music Club held a memorial evening for its 12th anniversary. The event focused on the late founder Sammy Pollock, who served as long-serving chairman.

Sammy Pollock spent nearly 30 years fundraising for charity. The club presented £7,000 to charities including Ballyhemlin Non-Subscribing Church, Motor Neurone Disease, Kidney Care UK, Air Ambulance NI and North Down Parkinson Support Group.

Since formation, Comber Music Club has donated £35,000 to local causes. Much of this came from Pollock's fundraising efforts.

The club meets every Thursday evening at Ballygowan Village Hall. Local musicians provide live entertainment there.
