Police Stop 16-Year-Old Driving Tractor on M1 Motorway Near Lisburn
Police from the PSNI Road Policing Strategic Unit stopped a 16-year-old driver of a tractor on the M1 motorway near Lisburn on Wednesday, April 22.
The tractor travelled from County Cavan in the Republic of Ireland toward Ballymena. Officers noted tractors cannot use motorways.
The driver held only a provisional licence from the Republic of Ireland. This entitlement does not permit driving on any Northern Ireland road.
Officers required the teenager's parents to travel three hours from Cavan to Lisburn to address the incident.
