Man in 30s Suffers Fractures in North Belfast Hammer Assault
Police in north Belfast are investigating an assault on Ardoyne Road. The attack occurred shortly after 11:30pm on Monday 20th April. A man in his 30s was walking when a silver Volkswagen Polo pulled up beside him.
Three men exited the car armed with a claw hammer and a metal bat. They assaulted the man before driving off in the vehicle. One suspect has a heavy build and wore a dark coloured mask.
The victim sustained fractures and lacerations. He received hospital treatment for his injuries.
Detective Sergeant Faulkner stated that enquiries continue. Police request information from anyone in the area at the time. They seek dashcam footage from vehicles present.
