Newry, Mourne and Down District Council Opens Make It Local Summer 2026 Registrations
Newry, Mourne and Down District Council invites businesses to register interest for the Make It Local Summer 2026 campaign. The council targets retail, hospitality, tourism, services and start-ups in town centres and rural areas.
Councillor Philip Campbell, council chairperson, said the campaign directs focus to local businesses. He noted it connects promotions to summer events, festivals and attractions to boost visitors and spending.
Campbell stated businesses of all sizes can increase visibility, contact customers and participate in local promotions.
Selected businesses gain promotional materials such as digital content, social media posts, targeted ads, print items, outdoor ads, photos and videos.
Registrations opened on 22 April. The council selects participants for geographical coverage and sector variety.
