Newry, Mourne and Down District Council calls on businesses in the district to register interest for the Make It Local Summer 2026 marketing campaign. The initiative targets retail, hospitality, tourism, services and start-ups across town centres and rural areas.

Councillor Philip Campbell, chairperson of the council, stated the campaign seeks to direct attention to local businesses and link promotions with summer events, festivals and attractions to increase visitors and spending.

He added that businesses of all sizes can use the campaign to gain visibility, reach customers and join local promotion efforts.

Selected businesses receive promotional support including digital content, social media, targeted ads, print materials, outdoor ads, photography and video.

Expressions of interest open on 22 April. The council will select participants to cover different areas and sectors.
