First Minister Michelle O'Neill and Deputy First Minister Emma Little-Pengelly visited Fermanagh this week. They met local tourism businesses and viewed attractions including Lough Erne.

O'Neill described the visit as positive. She noted Fermanagh's natural features and range of businesses such as hotels, B&Bs and activity providers on the lough. She highlighted partnerships among businesses and their innovative efforts to attract visitors.

O'Neill stated the executive aims to assist local providers, secure more investment and draw additional visitors. She called support for such businesses a key government role and pointed to untapped potential in the area.

Little-Pengelly called Fermanagh beautiful. She said the executive will promote it across Northern Ireland and beyond to encourage stays in hotels, dining and participation in tourism activities.

Little-Pengelly praised the local tourism network of hotels, restaurants, cafes, shops and activities. She referenced a recent water taxi trip on Lough Erne. She committed the executive to championing Fermanagh for regional prosperity.
