Derry Man Faces Fraud Charges Over Credit Union Case
Dut Akumate, 51, from Derrymore faces charges of fraud by false representation related to Derry Credit Union. The alleged offence occurred on July 20, 2023, and could have caused financial loss to the credit union.
Akumate also faces a charge of possessing articles connected to fraud. These include a Canadian passport, seized on the same date.
He appeared before court where his defence solicitor Seamus Quigley requested an adjournment of several weeks. Akumate will return to court on May 6.
