Courts: Murder remand, riot sentencing and bail refused for man who attacked 89-year-old
ANTRIM (sitting in Ballymena): A 44-year-old man charged with burglary of a bar near Aldergrove - allegedly carrying pliers, screwdrivers, a wrench, a sledgehammer and a crowbar - has been further remanded in custody, with his case adjourned to May 19 to fix a date for a preliminary enquiry ahead of a send to Crown Court.
ARDS: A 22-year-old man charged with the murder of Jordan Webb in Portavogie on November 3 last year, as well as possession of a knife with intent to commit murder and a class C drug, has been further remanded in custody with the case adjourned to May 20.
ARDS: A 26-year-old Bangor man accused of assaulting an 89-year-old woman - breaking her finger - along with her 69-year-old son and a member of the public, has been refused bail by District Judge Amanda Brady, who said he posed a risk to the public; the case was adjourned to May 6.
BALLYMENA: A rioter was sentenced for racially aggravated disorder.
