James Stuart Steele of Meadow Park, Larne, faces multiple charges stemming from an incident on March 24. The charges include possession of a hammer as an offensive weapon. He is also accused of attempting to cause grievous bodily harm to a police officer and causing criminal damage to a PSNI vehicle.

The case appeared at Ballymena Magistrates Court on April 16. The court adjourned the matter until May 14.
