ANTRIM: A 23-year-old man was sentenced to 32 months imprisonment, with half to be served in custody and half on licence, after being convicted of rioting in Ballymena on 11 June 2025. Kurtis Dunlop was observed throwing masonry at a police vehicle before joining a sustained attack on officers involving fireworks, bottles and other items during three nights of large-scale disorder.

NEWTOWNARDS: A 59-year-old former scout leader appeared in court facing two charges of indecent assault and one charge of aiding and abetting indecent assault, alleged to have been committed between July 1990 and July 1994. Gary Service was released on £500 bail and the case was returned to Downpatrick Crown Court with arraignment scheduled for 24 May.
