Tyrone Charity Tractor Run Postponed Over Fuel Costs
Organisers of an annual charity tractor run in Rouskey, County Tyrone, have postponed the event scheduled for April 11. The tractor run and vintage car show, run by the Rouskey Community Centre, faced low expected attendance due to rising fuel costs.
A spokesperson for the Rouskey Community Centre stated that participants had contacted them to say they could not attend because of worries over fuel prices. The group decided to cancel to avoid a poor turnout.
The event aims to raise funds to support the Rouskey Community Centre. Volunteers manage the centre, which provides classes and activities for the rural area. Offerings include arts and crafts, health and wellbeing sessions such as Pilates and Zumba, and children's music and drama.
Support groups for gardening and local farmers also operate at the centre.
