The 2026 Youth and Future Talent Awards took place in the Newry, Mourne and Down district. The event gathered over 100 young people, youth workers and guests.

The awards began in 2012, founded by the Newry and Mourne Youth Council. The Education Authority manages the event and runs the Youth Council programme.

Young people from the Youth Council design and create the awards. Performances featured Megan McCourt, Sean Morgan with music, and Kyla McComiskey with Irish dancing.

Arlene Kee, Assistant Director of Youth Services in the Education Authority, stated that the awards recognise achievements and are shaped by young people, highlighting their creativity, leadership and passion.

Winners and runners-up were named in eight categories.
