The Carryduff Forklift Rallye Lecale takes place on 25 July in Downpatrick. Ballynahinch and District Motor Club organises the event with Newry, Mourne and Down District Council and Downpatrick Regeneration Working Group.

The rally forms a round of the Brown and Brown Northern Ireland Rally Championship. Up to 100 drivers will compete. It includes the PRG Trailers Trailertek Micra Challenge. Fans from across Ireland are expected to attend.

The main service area sits at Market Street car parks. The rally starts and finishes in front of the St Patrick Centre. Closed road stages lie on the town's outskirts.

Derek McGarrity from Newtownabbey raced on local roads three years ago during the Down Rally. He expects new stages at this event. He recalls driving near Hamilton's Folly and Bucks Head 15 years ago during the Circuit of Ireland Rally. He welcomes the return to Downpatrick.

Stuart Biggerstaff welcomes the rally's location in central Downpatrick. He notes it will draw spectators to support local businesses. He aims to compete for the championship.

Seamus Branniff from Ballynahinch calls rallying a family-focused sport. He expects families to attend and enjoy the atmosphere.

Councillor Philip Campbell, chairperson of Newry, Mourne and Down District Council, predicts a buzz in the town centre. Spectators can watch service area activity or visit stages. Family entertainment will feature.
