Santander will close its Enniskillen branch on May 12. The bank plans to launch a community banking service at Fermanagh House in the town from May 15.

DUP MLA Deborah Erskine spoke with Santander officials after the closure announcement. She stressed the need for local in-person banking options.

The bank agreed to station a community banker at Fermanagh House, Broadmeadow Place. The service operates every Wednesday from 10am to 4pm.

Customers retain access to other Santander branches. They can also use mobile, online and telephone banking.

Current and savings account holders may conduct transactions at ATMs, Post Office branches and local banking hubs.
